8+ years building production Java and TypeScript systems, based in Dortmund, Germany 🇩🇪. Somewhere along the way I picked up a habit of caring about the less glamorous parts of software: security, maintainability, and systems that still make sense a year later. Lately that's pulled me toward where those habits meet applied AI.
Tech philosophy
I care more about systems that hold up under real use than ones that look clever in a demo — clear boundaries, sensible defaults, and enough tests that refactoring doesn't feel like a gamble. Security isn't a separate phase; it's part of how something gets built in the first place. And as AI becomes part of more products, I'd rather understand how it actually works than bolt it on and hope.
